What is Invisalign®?
Invisalign® is orthodontic treatment consisting of a series of clear, removable aligners that are worn to gradually straighten teeth. No metal braces.
What are Invisalign® aligners made of and what do they look like?
Invisalign® clear aligners are made of flexible plastic — specifically, a patented thermoplastic material called SmartTrack® created exclusively for Invisalign treatment. These aligners are FDA-approved and contain no BPA, BPS, latex, or gluten. The aligners are clean and thin and are nearly invisable.
How will Invisalign® treatment straighten my teeth?
Dr. Pouzol or Dr. Cabral will create an Invisalign® orthodontic treatment plan that digitally plans the exact movements of your teeth. Patients have the opportunity to view an animation showing the progression of their tooth movement. The Invisalign® clear aligners subsequently are designed to apply calculated force to appropriately move your teeth into the correct position. Patients are monitored very frequently to ensure the movement is happening as it should be and to check aligner fit.
