About Northeast Dental Partners

Dr. Michael Cabral and Dr. Stephanie Pouzol met while attending Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. Although they each have specific interests within the field of dentistry, they share the same desire to deliver comprehensive care in the greatest amount of comfort.

Elimination of fear, pain, and feelings of neglect is the number one priority as it is their objective to give patients a dental home where they feel comfortable and in control of their dental treatment. Dr. Cabral and Dr. Pouzol believe in educating each patient about the importance of preventive care.

 

Their welcoming nature and desire to treat patients of all ages and abilities makes them a unique team. Their sincere belief is that everyone deserves a dental visit catered exactly to them. Patients will be treated like family and time will always be taken to explain recommendations.

Dr. Stephanie Pouzol DMD

   Dr. Stephanie Pouzol was born and raised in Orrington, Maine. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Stonehill College with a focus on healthcare administration and then went on to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine to earn her DMD degree.

     In 2016, the Tufts University Alumni Committee presented Dr. Pouzol with the "Award for Clinical Excellence in Geriatric Dentistry" for her above-and-beyond approach to caring for her elderly patients.

     She completed a General Practice Residency at Penobscot Community Health Center (PCHC) and then accepted the position of Associate Dentist upon graduating.  She worked there until starting Northeast Dental Partners.

     She has a strong interest in prosthodontics and preventive care.  She is also involved with community and outreach programs.  She has worked with the special needs population in an operating room setting at Eastern Maine Medical Center (EMMC).  She provides on-site dental care to the men and women of the Army Air National Guard in Bangor,  and she also works at the Brewer Community School, treating students ranging from kindergarten to the eighth grades.  Stephanie also participates in continuing education and has received credentialing in both Invisalign® as well as nitrous oxide sedation.

     Dr. Pouzol is a believer in patient education and emphasizes the importance of informed treatment decisions. In her free time, she enjoys baking, boating, snowshoeing, and skiing.

Dr. Michael Cabral DMD

     Dr. Michael Cabral grew up in Glastonbury, Connecticut. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Providence College and then continued his studies at Columbia University in the City of New York where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical engineering with a focus in biomechanics.  He received his DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

     Michael completed a general practice residency at Penobscot Community Health Center (PCHC) and then continued treating his patients there as an Associate Dentist until starting Northeast Dental Partners.

    In 2016 Michael was awarded the "Hanau Excellence in Prosthodontics Award" sponsored by WhipMix, in honor of the American dentist and mechanical engineer Rudolph L. Hanau.  Michael is a certified Invisalign® provider, he is credentialed at Eastern Maine Medical Center for full-mouth rehabilitation, and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics (AAIP).​

     Dr. Cabral is a firm believer in the positive role healthcare providers play and is committed to teaching all of his patients to advocate for their own health – dental and otherwise. In his free time, he enjoys playing the ukulele, surfing, boating, water skiing, and snowboarding.
