Dr. Michael Cabral grew up in Glastonbury, Connecticut. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Providence College and then continued his studies at Columbia University in the City of New York where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical engineering with a focus in biomechanics. He received his DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
Michael completed a general practice residency at Penobscot Community Health Center (PCHC) and then continued treating his patients there as an Associate Dentist until starting Northeast Dental Partners.
In 2016 Michael was awarded the "Hanau Excellence in Prosthodontics Award" sponsored by WhipMix, in honor of the American dentist and mechanical engineer Rudolph L. Hanau. Michael is a certified Invisalign® provider, he is credentialed at Eastern Maine Medical Center for full-mouth rehabilitation, and is also a candidate for the position of Fellow in the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics (AAIP).
Dr. Cabral is a firm believer in the positive role healthcare providers play and is committed to teaching all of his patients to advocate for their own health – dental and otherwise. In his free time, he enjoys playing the ukulele, surfing, boating, water skiing, and snowboarding.
